Please note that Summit Metals does provide prepaid labels and insurance for shipments to us, so we encourage customers to use it for a fee. It is a secure, trackable, and insured shipping method.

Summit Metals requires a minimum of $1,000 for all “Sell to Us” transactions.
For silver quantities under 100 oz, a $20 small-lot processing fee will be added to cover handling and processing.
Transactions exceeding $7,500 will be subject to a 5% authorization hold, which is released once the product arrives at our facility.

If I sell to you, is it reported to the government?

Certain products in certain quantities would be considered a reportable transaction. The list of items and quantities should be found within the IRS Form 1099-b.

What if I decide not to send in my items after locking in a price?

Once an order is locked in and you have received a Sell-To-Us number, those prices are guaranteed. If the market has moved against you at the time you want to cancel, market loss fees would then be charged to the credit card plus an additional $25.

How will you pay out my Sell-To-Us order?

We offer three payment options to pay out your Sell-To-Us: ACH (electronic check), Bank wire, or paper check. There are no fees associated with paying you via ACH. Bank wires incur a $25 fee, and paper checks are $5 dollars. These amounts would be deducted from the final total of your Sell-To-Us.
